Nova

Meet Nova
Hi there! My name is Nova, and I’m an energetic, intelligent pup with a heart full of love. I’m currently working on a few new skills, but I already know how to “Sit,” “Shake a Paw,” “Down,” “Bow,” and I’m learning how to “Turn Around.” I’m also practicing “Come Here,” “Stay,” and “Heel.” I’m a quick learner, but because of my high energy, I need to stay mentally and physically engaged to keep my mind sharp and my body active. Without the right stimulation, I might find my own creative ways to entertain myself—and some of those might not be the best choices!
I’m good on a leash and enjoy walking, though I can get a bit distracted by all the exciting things out there—especially squirrels and rabbits! They just look so fun to chase. I love meeting new people, but I can be a little distrustful at first. I need to be introduced slowly and calmly so I can feel safe and comfortable. I do have some leash reactivity and can get scared or overwhelmed in certain situations, especially with other dogs. I’m working hard on it, and I’d love to find a person or family who can help me continue my training and give me the positive reinforcement I need to build confidence and make good decisions.
If you’re patient, understanding, and ready to help me grow, I’d love to meet you! I’m looking for someone who can provide me with structure, support, and lots of love.

Energy Level: Moderate to high (loves active play and relaxation)
Training: House trained, crate trained, knows “sit” and “shake a paw”
Health: Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped

Perfect Home: Jasper would be happy in a home with a secure yard where he can play and explore. He’d do well with active individuals or families who can provide him with regular exercise, playtime, and lots of affection. Jasper is looking for a family who enjoys both outdoor activities and quiet moments of snuggles.

History: Jasper came from a community that HLH works with. He’s thriving in his foster home and ready to find his forever family!

About Jasper:I am a sweet boy with lots of love to give! I’m a friendly giant who enjoys meeting new friends—both human and dog. I’m still learning to walk well on a leash, but I’m making great progress! I know a few commands like “sit” and “shake a paw,” and I’m always eager to show off what I know.
One of my favorite activities is playing with my human and doggy pals, especially if there’s water involved. I love to run around the yard playing chase, throwing or ripping apart squeaky toys or stuffies. When I’m not being active, you can find me lazing around, soaking up belly rubs.
I’m 100% house trained, and I’m comfortable using a crate when my foster mom is away. I’m a happy, playful guy looking for a family who will love me as much as I love them!

Hannah Montana

History : Hannah Montana was an outdoor dog the majority of time. She came from a community where her owner passed away, the house was boarded up and she was left on her own after having her second litter of puppies.

Hannah Montana is a sweet, energetic young dog who has had a challenging start to life, never getting the chance to truly experience her puppy years. Despite that, she is full of love, energy, and a need for plenty of attention. By the time she was just one year old, she had already had two litters of puppies, so she missed out on the typical playful and carefree puppy moments. Now, she’s ready for a life full of fun, love, and adventure!

Hannah is very energetic and requires lots of exercise and mental stimulation to keep her happy. She thrives on attention and can be quite vocal when she feels she isn’t getting enough love or playtime. While she’s still learning how to be a “grown-up” dog, she is always eager to please and responds well to positive reinforcement and affection.

She is very friendly, especially with children, though her big paws and playful nature can be overwhelming for young ones at times. Hannah does well with strangers and is quick to warm up once she realizes they mean no harm. However, loud noises and certain objects, like brooms or big sticks, tend to frighten her, and she’ll seek comfort from her humans when she’s scared.

Currently fostered on an unfenced acreage, Hannah enjoys outdoor time but should never be left outside unsupervised. She needs space to run and play, but more importantly, she craves interaction and companionship. When left alone, she can become destructive and may chew on shoes, toys, or even her bed if she’s bored or anxious. In her crate, she feels safest when a blanket is draped over it, allowing her to feel secure while still being able to see outside.

Hannah does not have food aggression and is generally gentle when taking food from hands. She enjoys mealtime but can get nervous when her bowl is empty, so it’s important to keep her feeling content with a full bowl. Though she loves being outside, she’s not suited for extremely cold weather and isn’t an outdoor dog.

Overall, Hannah is an intelligent, loving, and playful dog who needs a family that can provide her with the attention, exercise, and reassurance she craves. She will thrive in a home where she is given plenty of love, structure, and positive reinforcement, and she’ll reward her family with unconditional affection. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will keep you on your toes, Hannah Montana could be the perfect addition to your home
